What
Have You Done For The Lord Lately? Monday: Alarm rings, shower, and off to work or school. Home by six, fast food for dinner, Monday night football at 8, hit the sack around 11. Tuesday: Alarm, work (or school), home by six, grab some fast food, meet some buddies for some fun, home, kiss the kids goodnight, bed around 11. Wednesday: Same, except after Micky D's, we rush to Bible study as we try to briefly look over our lesson. Thursday: Same as everyday, only this is basketball game night at 7. Then home and to bed. Friday: FINALLY FRIDAY! But it's the same as everyday. Tonight is rest night. We just "chill out" in front of the TV. Saturday: Finally a day to sneak off to the woods to hunt. Home around 7 or 8 pm. Watch another football game and a movie, go to be around midnight. Sunday: Wake up late, rush to services. Briefly look over the lesson as you fly down the road. Arrive late and drift through the services. Leave swiftly to watch the Titans football game. You are always excited to see them play! Arrive late to services again that evening. Attempt to worship with drowsy eyes. Rush home again to watch that movie you've been dying to see. Sleep by 11. Start the whole week over again. Does this roughly describe your week? Sure, you can alter a few things here and there. But there is one glaring problem that remains consistent - Where is the Lord? We may attend services regularly, but are we taking the time out of our busy lives to DAILY live for the Lord? How much time did you spend in Bible study this week outside of services? Did you take advantage of an opportunity to teach a friend about the Lord? Did you stop to just say "Thank You, Lord" for all the ways He has blessed your life? Let me challenge you to change your schedule around. Devote your time on this earth to the Lord! --David Deason Today's Lesson: Why Could They Rejoice? (Phil. 4:1-9) I.
